BA (History) King’s College London

UCAS; English, History, Economics A-level & GCSE; 13+ & 11+

I studied History at King’s College London, graduating in 2014. Prior to university I took A levels in English, Economics and History at The Manchester Grammar School.

Whilst at university I took the opportunity to engage with incoming students in the University’s mentoring programme. In this role I was able to offer younger students assistance settling into university life, which included one to one sessions on a variety of topics.

After graduating I worked in foreign exchange in the City, before changing tack and embarking on a legal career. I recently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) with distinction, and am currently completing the Legal Practice Cource (LPC) before commencing my training contract with Forsters LLP.

Away from studying I am an avid sportsman (from the ‘Blue’ side of Manchester). I have represented my County and University in rugby and play golf and tennis at club level.

I am comfortable preparing students for 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance exams, alongside addressing the individual demands that school specific entrance exams present. In particular I aim to developing a fluid writing style that candidates can repeat under the pressure of an exam. I am also happy to advise a range of subjects up to GCSE and A Level, with a focus on English and History.
